Privacy Policy

Tippy Typing (typing.thornbyte.in) is a typing website for children, run by Thornbyte, India. We built it so children can play safely, and we keep this policy short and plain.

The short version

• We do not ask for or collect names, email addresses, photos, locations or any other personal information from children.
• There are no accounts, no logins, no chat and no way for users to contact each other.
• Stars, stickers, best scores and settings are saved only in your own browser on your device (using "local storage"). They are never sent to us.
• No advertising appears inside lessons or games.

Information stored on your device

The site saves your child's progress (stars, best scores, chosen game options) and settings (sound, voice, capital letters) in your browser's local storage, so they are still there next time. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser's site data for typing.thornbyte.in.

Fonts and hosting

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and uses the Fredoka font from Google Fonts. Like any website, these services receive basic technical information needed to deliver the page (such as your IP address and browser type). They do not receive any information you type in the games. Advertising

To keep the site free, we may show ads from Google AdSense on information pages (such as the home page and the parents' guide), never inside lessons or games. Because our audience is children, the site is marked as child-directed. Google then shows only non-personalised ads, does not build interest profiles, and follows the rules of the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live), and the site has no feature that asks for it. If you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example by email), contact us and we will delete it.
